MEET-CINCH courses

Hands-on Training on Chemical Dosimetry

The course takes place at the Politecnico Milano, Department of Energy Radiochemistry and Radiation Chemistry Laboratories, Building B18 - Via La Masa, 34, Milano on July 3 - 5, 2019.

The course will run in two parts

1)      The first theoretical part is delivered as distance learning course. During this phase material related to more general topics as well as material intended to be preparatory for the topics covered during the on-site course will be distributed.

2)      The second part includes theoretical lectures and guided practical experiences of using chemical dosimeters.

Additional information

No course fee will be charged to the participants. A budget exists to support the travel costs of participants. We would like to encourage you to apply for the funds via the Travel Fund. Only a limited number of participants can be accepted. Admission will be based on the evaluation of CVs and Motivation Letters included in the Application form.

All teaching will be in English.

All participants have to agree that multimedia materials (photos, videos, measurement protocols etc.) created during the course could be used for educational purposes on the public CINCH Moodle platform.

Hands on Training in Nuclear Chemistry III

 

The course will take place at the Czech Technical University in Prague, laboratories and lecture rooms of the Department of Nuclear Chemistry (Břehová 7, 11519 Prague, Czech Republic) on June 18-22, 2018.

The course will run in two parts

1)      Theoretical part with lectures summarizing fundamental theoretical knowledge of principles and concepts in nuclear chemistry necessary for understanding the processes and methods in radiochemistry will be announced and available in CINCH Moodle as distance learning course.

2)      Hands-on training focused on the work with open ionising radiation sources, behaviour in the radiochemistry lab and basic NRC principles.
